"Heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, and is responsible for one in every four deaths in the United States. Researchers at Stanford's School of Medicine have developed a free iPhone app that allows users to learn about the health of their hearts while helping scientists better understand how to prevent and treat heart disease. The MyHeart Counts app uses Apple’s ResearchKit framework and will deliver a comprehensive assessment of each user’s heart health, as well as provide information on how to improve it. In the future, it will be used to study various methods - designed to be both easy and fun - for using smartphones and other wearable devices to enhance heart-healthy habits. Lean more at:"
