Description
This video from The Chang Lab at University of California, San Fransisco (UCSF) is based on the research paper by David Moses, et al. that was published in Nature Communications. The research includes an implantable speech neuro-prosthesis that decodes communication using the brain activity of patients with epilepsy. Participants were asked to answer simple questions such as "from 0 to 10, how comfortable are you?" The research was funded by Facebook.

Chang Lab's previous research involved generating synthetic speech from brain recordings.
