Persuasive Intent
At the 2019 Game Developer's Conference (GDC), Valve researcher Mike Abinder hosted a panel on the possibilities that would open up by adding brain-computer interfaces to virtual reality headsets. Through the use of an electroencephalogram (EEG) inside of existing headsets, data could be generated by the human brain that would be used within the game. This would allow games to adapt to a player's state of mind, create avatars that perfectly represent the player, and scale the difficulty based on how the player feels.
