Description
Elon Musk was interviewed by conservative Fox News' Tucker Carlton to discuss his views about artificial intelligence as a "public harm" that should be regulated. He says "AI is perhaps more dangerous than say, mismanaged aircraft design or production maintenance or bad car production, in that...it has the potential of civilizational destruction". He elaborates that  AI-generated writing could influence and "manipulate public opinion" in detrimental ways.

He also discusses the origins of OpenAI as an open source non-profit organization focused on safety, as opposed to the monopoly of Google.
