CNN's Tech for Good tours the Hanson Robotics lab and speaks with CEO David Hanson about Grace, a medical professional assistant that specializes in senior care. Hanson explains that "Grace is designed to connect with people emotionally" and that these robots are not meant to replace human professionals, but to assist them by acting as a proxy. He also notes that the Covid-19 pandemic has created more interest in robotics to perform jobs that are "dull, dirty, and dangerous".

The Changi General Hospital in Singapore employs more than 50 robots to assist with tasks such as surgery, cleaning, delivery, social stimulation, and patient rehabilitation.
