Description
Lapse is an AR app aiming to upgrade public urban space by incorporating AR public artworks in it. The installations include an audio component, which aims to establish an improved experience of public space and turn the city into a canvas and the walk through it to a gallery visit. Lapse is commissioned by the Miami Dade County.
This app demonstrates the AR category of
Controlled Space. In this category, digital content is used to support and reinforce the values promoted by actual environments. In a controlled space, both virtual content and physical location are aligned in terms of the values they represent, which are usually dictated by familiar functions of material environments.
