Optimizing comfort for nurses in high-stress situations with sensors
Publication/Creation Date
February 20 2020Description
When nurses in high-stress situations get uncomfortably warm, they may remove face masks and other protective equipment. To tackle this problem, researchers try dynamically adjusting a room’s temperature based on sensors worn by the nurses. This research was led by Carol Menssa, and associate professor of civil and environmental engineering at the University of Michigan, in collaboration with Vineet Kamat, professor of civil and environmental engineering.Source
