Description
Talking Statues is an AR app through which city monuments can talk and share their stories. Available in multiple cities around the globe, users of Taking Statues can receive a phone call from the historical figure commemorated on-site, and listen to the personal stories of well and less known historical figures.

This app demonstrates the AR category of Historical Annotation. In this category, mainstream narratives and histories reflecting actual events of the past are activated and validated through superimposing digitized archival materials onto physical space.
