Wearable Monitor Provides Continuous Blood Pressure Data
Publication/Creation DateJanuary 31 2020
DescriptionBecause of the difficulty in measuring blood pressure, researchers from Monash University located in Australia developed an alternative device that would measure blood pressure constantly. The device is compromised of continuous wave radar (CWR) sensors, which are worn on the sternum, and a photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor placed on the ear lobe. The wearable monitor can monitor patients during activities like exercise and sleep.
