Rice University engineering students' belt sends signals wirelessly for seizure monitoring
Publication/Creation DateMay 13 2013
DescriptionThis Smart belt is designed to help people who have epilepsy. Two silver chloride electrodes are integrated into the device to detect changes in skin conductance. By detecting changes in respiration rate and increased build-up of sweat on the skin, the belt can wirelessly send a message to a parent or guardian to take action.
