1994Description
The Landmaster 5M45 is a compelling example of how the human body can be used as an energy store for powering wearable devices. In this case, energy generated by the wearer’s natural arm movement is collected and stored within a capacitor inside the watch, extending its natural battery life. This watch initially appeared as part of an exhibit in Toronto called “Today’s Japan: Design Sampling ’95,” which showcased the talents of Japanese designers for the Canadian public.
