Writing Futures: Collaborative, Algorithmic, Autonomous (2021)

Curators: Ann Hill Duin and Isabel Pedersen
Collection Editor: Isabel Pedersen
Collection Archivist: Sharon Caldwell

This collection explores the future of writing. As non-human agents and artificial intelligences (AI) disrupt all writing fields and professions, human writers have to adapt. This collection is geared to professional and technical communication (PTC) scholars and instructors. It classifies items according to higher-level themes, such as Professional Communication, Technical Communication, Composition, Digital Literacy and AI Literacy.
However, it provides a breadth metadata to explore human and nonhuman collaboration in terms of algorithmic culture and control, automation, and civic engagement with this changing digital landscape.
